Refund Policy

At American Classic Writers, we strive to ensure all our clients are satisfied with our services. However, we understand that there may be instances where you would want to discontinue our services. Our refund policy is designed with flexibility and fairness in mind.

Non-Refundable Conditions

You will not be eligible for a refund in the following cases:

  • You change your mind or your circumstances change.
  • You find lower-priced services elsewhere.
  • You purchased services involving third-party vendors.
  • Selecting a combo package or bundle.
  • Not contacting ACW for more than 2 weeks.
  • Any project put on hold by the Client.
  • Approval of initial test manuscripts, Editorial Work, illustrations, and or draft layouts.
  • Violation of ACW policies.
  • Approaching other publishers, designers, or illustrators for the same project.
  • Requests beyond the original agreed scope.
  • Expiration of the refund request timespan.
  • Once final files are delivered, no refund is available.
  • Free items are not eligible for revision or refund.
  • After submission to publishing platforms, refunds will not be entertained.
  • Active Projects: If you wish to discontinue our services while your project is still active, we will refund the balance of your order on a pro-rata basis. The amount for the work already delivered will be retained, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
  • Projects 30 Days Old or More: Any project—whether active, on hold, in-progress, or already completed—will not be eligible for a partial or full refund if the payment for that project was made 30 days ago or more.
  • Prepaid Plans-Our prepaid plans are billed in advance, and we offer refunds on a pro-rata basis in case of early cancellation. If you decide to cancel your prepaid plan early, you are eligible for a prorated refund calculated based on the original (non-discounted) rate of the services used. This means that even if you received a discount for paying upfront, your refund will be calculated as if you were charged the standard rate for the services you used.
Example Calculation:-

let’s say you purchase a 12-month book marketing plan worth $1,000 per month or $12,000 annually. You receive a 33% discount for paying upfront, bringing your total to $8,040. After 6 months, you decide to cancel the plan.

Cost of services used: $1,000 × 6 = $6,000

Amount paid upfront: $8,040

Remaining balance: $8,040 − $6,000 = $2,040

Refund = $2,040 ÷ remaining months (6) = $340 per month (if canceled after 6 months).

Refunds will be processed to your original payment method after initiation from the finance department within 10-15 business days.

Complete Refunds:-

if you have specific concerns and wish to request a complete refund, please send us a refund request. We will review your case and make a decision accordingly.

Chargeback Policy:-

any disputes or chargebacks initiated without first attempting to resolve the issue through our support team may result in:

  • Suspension of your account.
  • Additional fees for chargeback handling.
  • Possible legal action to recover lost funds.
Disclaimer on Results

While we guarantee the publishing of your book or content unless there are reasons beyond our control (such as copyright disputes, legal restrictions, or platform-specific policies), we do not guarantee sales, rankings, or specific outcomes beyond the agreed deliverables. Publishing timelines may vary based on approval processes of third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Apple Books).

Limitation of Liability

American Classic Writers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.

Governing Law

Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or legal action arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the Justice Courts of HOUSTAN, TX. The parties agree that venue shall lie exclusively in HOUSTAN, TX and each party irrevocably submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. Each party shall bear its own attorneys' fees, costs, and expenses incurred in connection with any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement.

Prior to initiating any legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith through written notice and a 45-day negotiation period. Legal proceedings may only be commenced if the dispute remains unresolved upon the expiration of said 45-day period.

Publishing Account Assistance

Clients who need help opening, configuring, or maintaining a publishing account can turn to their assigned advisor, project manager, or any authorized representative of American Classic Writers for support. Although our team is glad to walk Clients through account setup — or handle configuration on their half — each publishing account belongs to the Client at all times and is registered with the Client's own details wherever the platform allows.

For its part, the Client commits to providing everything the relevant platform demands: documentation, approvals, tax and identity verifications, and any other required information. If setup stalls because the Client has not delivered required materials, finished a verification step, or otherwise cooperated with the process, responsibility for that delay does not fall on American Classic Writers, and the delay cannot be cited as a basis for a refund, chargeback, cancellation, or payment dispute.

Alternative Publishing Arrangement

The default at American Classic Writers is straightforward: books go live through accounts the Client personally owns and controls. That said, a Client who cannot open an account — or simply prefers not to — may give American Classic Writers written or verbal authorization to publish the work through an account held or managed by American Classic Writers or one of its vetted publishing partners.

When a Client grants that authorization, American Classic Writers operates strictly as a publishing facilitator whose role is limited to distributing the Client's work. Ownership never changes hands under this arrangement: the manuscript, its copyright, and every associated intellectual property right stay with the Client unless a separate written agreement between the parties says otherwise.

Should any royalties, earnings, or sale proceeds from the Client's work arrive in a American Classic Writers account, those funds are the Client's and will be forwarded to the Client. American Classic Writers claims no interest in a Client's royalties unless the Client has expressly consented in writing.

Publishing through a company-held account is an accommodation, nothing more, and it proceeds only after the Client's prior written approval. The Client also accepts that delays traceable to missing information, unfinished approvals, verification hurdles, platform restrictions, or the independent decisions of third-party platforms do not justify refunding, cancelling, charging back, or disputing services that have already been performed.

Third-Party Platform Disclaimer

Every distribution platform — Amazon KDP, Ingram Spark, Barnes & Noble Press, Google Books, Apple Books, and comparable services — operates as an independent business outside the ownership, control, or management of American Classic Writers. Because of this, American Classic Writers cannot guarantee that any platform will accept or approve a title or account, distribute a work, deliver a particular ranking or sales result, or keep a publication available indefinitely. American Classic Writers accepts no liability for any platform-imposed action, including suspensions, rejections, removals, delays, policy enforcement, account restrictions, or terminations.
